- Pictures Married to Type - Complimentary (words & pictures), tells what's going on in the photo & what to expect in the magazine, words don't touch the picture, work together to make an appealing cover, might be boring, bad picture (screwed)
- In the Forest of Word - lots of words, bold & non bold word, colorful, different fonts & sizes, picture is going to be covered, lots of entry points (lots of ways to tempt to buy magazine) Subject is not the photo, takes away form the photo, too much going on.
